The TotalBoat Sport Dory is finally ready for some paint and today Lou will show us how he prepped the surface of the dory’s bottom before priming. Using TotalBoat’s TotalFair fairing compound, Lou filled in the weave on the carbon/ kevlar cloth on his bottom and gave himself a nice smooth and fair surface to prime. After some sanding and a wipe down, Lou is ready to mix up the 2-Part Epoxy Primer he has chosen to protect the hull from the elements. This primer coat will be a great base for the topside paint Lou has chosen, one-part Polyurethane, TotalBoat’s Wet Edge Topside Paint.
