Meet us at the 2018 Wooden Boat Show in Mystic, CT with Acorn and Louis

The JD Team, Louis Sauzedde & The Acorn to Arabella Boatbuilders Will Be With Us!

Come down to Mystic Seaport this coming weekend to soak up a beautiful collection of wooden boats and wooden boat parts and pieces. The JD team will be at the show under the tent doing live demos of varnish and wood finishes, as well as answering questions, and entertaining you with their contagious wit.  We will be giving away JD hats and tees while they last – so swing over to the booth and tell them you need one!

Next to us at the JD booth will be the dynamic filmmaking duo from Acorn to Arabella. Steve and Alix are building Arabella from scratch in their backyard, using lumber from the property and parts from an older, retired Atkins ketch.  They are making some interesting videos about their process and we are thrilled to support their efforts.

Again this year we welcome our very own sage shipwright, Louis Sauzedde. Along with the TotalBoat Sport Dory, Louis and Halsey Fulton, the filmmaker behind the lens, will be at the show, too! You can find Louis and the Sport Dory in the same spot as last year, just outside the main tent and near the “I Built It Myself” display.

The WoodenBoat Show at Mystic Seaport Museum, June 22-24, 2018 will have more in-water and on-land boat exhibits, reader-built boats, expert skills demonstrations, marine vendors, families building their very own boats, and so much more. We can’t wait to see you in Mystic, June 22-24!
