No more wondering if your batch of epoxy contains the right resin to hardener ratio. TotalBoat pumps are calibrated to automatically dispense the appropriate 5:1 mix ratio with a single pump. That means one full pump stroke of resin yields 5 parts, and one full pump stroke of hardener for one part hardener. No messes, no guesses.
Note: Our 5:1 Epoxy Pumps are intended for use only with TotalBoat epoxy containers, and they don’t fit other traditional marine 5:1 epoxy containers. If using another brand of 5:1 marine resins with TotalBoat 5:1 hardeners, or TotalBoat 5:1 epoxy resin with other traditional 5:1 hardeners, measure the resin and hardener components by volume OR use only one brand of containers with their matched pumps.
- Pumps are calibrated to dispense the exact 5:1 ratio automatically.
- The resin pump has a plain white pump head, the hardener pump has a white pump head with a black dot indicating the 5:1 mix ratio.
- Simply replace the cap on each product with its respective pump, and prime each pump before dispensing
- Pumps are for use with the To.talBoat 5:1 Epoxy System, and fit the Quart, Gallon, and 4.46 Gallon epoxy kits.
- When a container is empty, you can transfer and reuse its pump in a new container of the same product.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
-
What epoxy system do these pumps fit?
TotalBoat Traditional 5:1 Epoxy resin and hardener only. Do not use with other TotalBoat epoxy systems, or with any epoxy from any other brand, regardless of whether pumps fit on the bottle. -
How many pumps of resin and hardener do I need?
Despite the name 5:1, it’s not 5 pumps resin and one pump of hardener. The pumps are calibrated so one pump of the resin provides the correct ratio for one pump of hardener. -
Are pumps reusable?
Yes, the pumps are reusable if properly cleaned and stored. -
Do pumps need to be trimmed to fit smaller containers?
Yes. As shipped, pumps are sized to fit the ‘B’ kit gallon containers. To cut for quart containers, refer to included detailed instructions or the technical data sheet -
Do pumps need to be primed before use?
Yes. Before dispensing, push down and release the head of each pump several times until you get a steady stream of liquid, without any air pockets. -
How do I use the pumps?
After the initial setup and priming of the pumps, dispense the resin and hardener into a clean container. For every one full pump of resin, dispense one full pump of hardener. Mix for 2-3 minutes while scraping the sides to blend completely. Do not adjust mix ratios or tamper with pumps. A proper cure is dependent on using the exact recommended mix ratio. Adding more hardener to make the epoxy set faster will actually prevent it from curing properly. -
How do you clean the pumps?
To clean resin pumps, flush it with hot water, followed with a solvent, lacquer thinner, acetone, or denatured alcohol. -
Can you leave the pumps attached to resin and hardener containers, or do you need to remove them after every use?
You can leave the pumps attached to the containers while in storage. Store the resin and hardener in a dry location at room temperature. After a while, pumps may need to be re-primed. -
If you accidentally use 5 pumps of resin and 1 pump of hardener, will the epoxy eventually cure?
No. Adding more resin or hardener than required will result in an improper cure. Epoxy must have the correct ratio in order to cure correctly and exhibit stated characteristics, including strength properties.
