Kevlar twill weave fabric is a strong, flexible reinforcement material designed for demanding marine and woodworking projects. The 2x2 twill weave provides better drape and conformability compared to plain weave, making it easier to work over complex shapes and curves without distortion. Made with 9 oz. aramid fibers, this fabric offers an excellent balance between lightweight construction and robust protection when used on kayak or canoe hulls, deck skins, wood-core panels, or any area where impact resistance and abrasion durability are a priority. Use epoxy resin to wet out the fabric. Performs well as a standalone layer or in hybrid laminates with fiberglass or carbon fiber. Sold by the yard in 50" width.
Aramid Fabric Details:
- 9 Oz. fabric weight drapes easily to curved surfaces
- 2x2 Twill pattern offers more flexibility for better draping
- Wets out with epoxy using firm pressure for full saturation
- Use with TotalBoat High Performance 2:1 Epoxy Resin and Traditional 5:1 Marine Epoxy Resin
